Happy 2016 to all! I hope you all had a good time welcoming in the new year. My crazy night consisted of pizza, popcorn, and a puzzle. I know how to do it up right, right? Anyway, let’s chat for a quick moment about 2016 and what that means for my little slice of the internet. I’ve been working hard the last several weeks thinking about the direction I need to take this site. I looked at my stats, I looked at my social media interaction, and I considered the questions that I’m most often asked from my readers. This has led me to determine that people want to hear more about food photography from me. I have no problem with this, it’s a subject that I’ll happily talk about all day. The fact that people ask ME questions about it boggles my mind a little, but it happens so something I’m doing must be resonating with some of you.
I won’t claim to know everything, and I won’t promise you that sometimes I just won’t know the answer to your questions, but I promise that I’m constantly studying/practicing/improving my photography. I’m amazed at how much I learn everyday and if I don’t know an answer, I’ll tell you. And I’ll try and point you to the right place. Together, we’ll all improve and be better photographers in 2017 than we are in 2016. I’ll also share a little bit about lifestyle photography, which is my other love and very oftentimes goes hand in hand with food photography, believe it or not. (I’ll show you, just wait…)
So, here’s to another great year hopefully filled with lots of fun, new adventures, and lots of learning for us all. Pop back often, friends…I’ve got lots of plans for you!
